Check out Lowes and Home Depot if you want to use an electronic valve instead of a manual one!

If anyone wants to try to make one of the more "HIGHER END" electronic cannons, I would be willing to help out. I already know where to get the valves (see previous post). Plus I think it would be really nice to have a trigger grip and a CO2 tank to be able to make more than 1 shoot per game.
I also know alot about electronics, so setting up the valve, running power, and wiring to the trigger would be a VERY easy task for me.

I have also found a website that shows you all the math you need to figure out the size of your expansion chamber so that you can make a cannon using a 12g. The 12g would only give you one shot, but it would be easier to change a 12g than fill the cannon via a compressor.
The site I found was cool, because it allowed to figure out the Diameter, and Length of your pipe based on what you wanted the finial pressure to be. I just went and found out that the electronic valves have a max pressure of 150psi, so I used that as my pressure, and will just make the chamber a little bigger than the calculations said (for safety).

Well, if we can get people to help by donating a few parts (Trigger Frame, and 12gram adapter). Then the only things that would have to be purchased would be the pipe(w/cement to connect it), connectors, valve, and battery box(w/switches). And I have already priced the valve, just need to price the pipe and battery box.

Sweet thanks AdamBomb! Sorry you cann't make the Grill Out.
We should try to put together a complete parts list that we will need. That way we can start to collect the pieces over time.
I did price the Pipe that we would need the 1 1/2" and 2" are both about $5.00 each for 10 feet worth.
So far this is the list of parts that I know we WILL need:
2" pipe - Expansion Chanber 1 1/2" pipe - Barrel Electronic Sprinkler valve Trigger Frame 12 Gram Adapter (or CO2 Tank) Connectors for the pipe Pipe Cement Small Project box from Radio Shack - For the Batteries 2 switches (1 toggle, 1 momentary) - actual trigger
Possible needs: Regulator Gauge

We could use some of the donations to puchase some of these items. I think i have some 2" Cpvc at work or 2-1/4" but it is Cpvc and not pvc. the pieces would be 19" or less long

Nice cannon! I want an electronic trigger.
Tim, we need to make sure to use SCH40 pvc pipe (it is pressure rated for safety). We need 2" for the expansion chamber, and 1 1/2" for the barrel
