Has anyone played around with any of the paintball pistols they have on the market right now? (Core ZX, Zeus, PT Xtreme, etc...)
I was think about picking one up as a second/backup marker. Especially after all the issues I had with my marker last weekend.
I saw on e-bay that you can get a PT Xtreme pretty cheap (under $50). I heard they have constant air leak problems though. But for $50 I may be able to live with a leak.
Any thoughts or suggestions???

I never really found a point to paintball pistols. You can always have a back up ok real semi gun or pump, like a spyder victor which also cost 50 bucks at bass pro. The only cool thing about pistols is that they are just cool to shoot and stuff. Otherwise just bring like a spare air, paint with you on the field and have that back up gun at the shelter.

The original paint guns were Pistols. They did a number on your recocking finger cause they were manually loaded each time you wanted to shoot. They also used the tubes that only had 10 paintballs powered by a 12 gram CO2. Oh, and the goggles were "shop goggles" and the paint (10 cents a ball)stained your clothes. What were we think of back then?? The newer pistols, like the one Mike wants to buy look great. I think they are semiautomatic now! WOW! Times have changed - for the better!

Yeah definatly get the Zeus G1 or G2 the difference is the G2 has the 8" barrel adaptor and an integrated sight rail, plus if you want you could add a bottomline and a hopper adaptor and make it a second gun
I shot zeus g1,g2, Delta 68, core zx, pt extreme, pt junior and out of all of those my personal favorative was the G2 cuz of gas efficiency and accuracy

The only thing I know about a PT Xtreme is that almost EVERYONE that owns one complains about it leaking air!!

Hey Questions,
Did you buy your Pistol yet? I found out that the PT Extreme Jr's have solved the leaky valve issue and they are around $80.00 on eBay. The shipment of Zeus G2 have arrived in the country and they are filling the orders now. Currently the guns alone are around $140.00.
What did you decide?
;D

I desided to wait a bit on the pistol. I just don't have a need for one yet. If I start to play more scenario games, then that may change.

i decided to not get it because the reliable good pistols are too expensive, but when the Zeus G1, or G2 comes down in price i am going to buy it (under 75 buck not used)
