This past week during one of the bomb defuse games, toward the end of the game there was a pretty good fire fight between two lines. they had each other pinned down for I bet 10 minutes. Finnaly one of the guys yelled out - WHAT TEAM ARE YOU ON. they responded by yelling - THE ASSAULT TEAM. then they yelled what team are you guys on. and they replied - WE ARE ON THE ASSAULT TEAM TO. OOOPS.
the moral to the story
COMUNICATION IS KEY.

Although I hate Arm Bands, Maybe the players could identify each other if they wore them. I assume that they could see each other since they were shooting at each other for such a long time ...
Once the fire fight gave away your positions, talking to each other is good advise. To your teammates, or the enemy, communication is necessary to complete your objective. I yell ALL of The TIME, but that is to intimidate the enemy (It does not work all of the time, but I do think it makes them think).......

I think arm bands are almost needed always because i know when i was a wounded player in that scenario game we played about 2 weeks ago i had to keep asking people if they were on my team and when i asked them they usually got shot . So im in favor of them.

Ahhh the case of Friendly Fire. I was in that mess. We will just call that a live fire exercise ok. Arm bands are nice in an open area. But really where we were armbands were kinda pointless. Good communication is the key. The Assault team had good com but sometimes good com breaks down when the muzzles start flashing.
