Ok this is an odd question. I was talking with some people and a question came up. I don’t usually entertain these questions for a few reasons. Question number one. Will there be shadows in heaven? And question number two. Will there be animals in heaven? One response to question number one was “If Jesus is the light how will there be shadows or darkness?” And I had an answer to question number two. I think there will be animals in heaven as it states that Jesus will be coming back riding a horse. I know these kinds of questions can be hard to answer and they seem more of an answer on personal thoughts. But it came up and I just wanted to see if any one else had some input- thanks _rob

as far as the shadow idea my first thought was yes because if the light came from God than anything standing in front of Him would cast a shadow behind themselves. BUT then we have to think about two things. One is that the light omitted by God will be brighter than anything we have ever experienced, hence it would drown out any possible shadow. Then I had to think that we most likely will not be in the same human form as we are now. who knows we may not even be a being that has mass at all which would certainly not block light.
Plus dark = evil so darkness at all in any form? I dont think so.
I will have to get back to you on the animal thing. but I like the horse theory.

is Jesus on a horse when he comes back to earth or while he's in 'heaven' or when he's on the new earth? Is heaven even our final destination? (i.e., God creating a new 'heaven(s) and earth' not just transfering everyone to 'heaven') And shadows ... I tend to think that we'll be living in a completely re-vamped existence at that point. Luminosity may not even work the same way as it does now. We only 'live in' 4 dimensions now (3 of up/down, left/right, back/forward + time), as things are, when there are actually many more (10 or 11 or 26 or some such, Quantum theories differ, and honestly it is all very confusing to me ). So will light be blocked by things in this new reality that God is creating? Will God simply allow us to experience more dimensions than what we have now? I think you're first impression is right robster, it all seems a little moot. I mean, imagining what 'heaven' is like is kind of like a parrot calculating differential equations. it's all a little beyond us
