I like playing woodball but one thing I don't like is playing on mixed up teams all the time. I do like playing don't get me wrong. But If we could have the same guys on a team for at least a few games it would get better I think . Is there a way to set up a team play that is if there is enoughf people intrested in it. we could use the bigger woodbal field for team play. and if people wanted to start a team of 3,4,5 people then we could do a all team game day, like every team against the other. I know some people out there like to play, If we can think up some teams to see if we could do an advance game some day let me know if it could be possible- Rob

that sounds like a good idea, especially for people like me who are new and dont know anybody. it would promote good teamwork and trust, not just being stuck with a bunch of people you dont know

That is absolutly a great idea. I am a big one for scneario play and organizing missions would be great . At times it could be the entire group against the woodball team where we have to run missions. It we get hit we are out but the others could recycle. Which would help practice the field for future scenario games. Depending on how many wish to be the WBS (Woodball Scenario) team we could run it as this. If there are people interested in going to scenario events or how many ever. We can structure them as follows. several 3 Person Assualt teams 2 Person Recon teams Heavy Strike Teams 5 People 2 Defensive Teams 7 People Comm Operator- Direct Link to Commander and all Team Leaders Special Ops - 1-2 Person teams depending on mission and support needed. Pickets/Snipers- Everyone loves the sniper Commander. If we could organize a group of this size and take it to a major scenario with PBJ patches and such. That would bring Major area word about the field and ministry.
We want people to choose one thing to be a pro at but they are not locked into it. But this way when we go to a scenario then we know what we have available and what we can do. But we will do it as a team. But those are just a few thoughts on the matter.

sounds like a great idea. only potential problem i see is that it could very well end up excluding people or shunning them (not even intentionally) by forming our own 'groups' that we play with. i'm thinking of new people in their early teens that may or may not feel comfortable trying to join a team that is pretty solid and tight. as an 'open to anyone' paintball place (and especially as a ministry), we definitally would want to avoid that. probably wont even be an issue as long as we be sensible about it (you know .. make sure everyone knows teams are open to new members/don't exclude new people when teams need to be formed ... that type of thing)

Absolutly correct X. I am not worried about excluding them though because all are welcome. Say we have a basic group built up and ready for scenario. More people wanna join. By gumtion we build more units. Say we organize a PBJ speedball team too. Well then Woodball can help train speedball and vice versa. Someone might be on both teams that great. My basic idea isso when we go to a scenario. The group as a WHole is combat effective. "We never leave a teammate behind!" & Suppose someone wants to take up a position in an assualt team. Turns out its just not working out. Well what weaknesses were happening and what strengths were occurring. There is always something for someone to do in paintball. I am not just talking about guarding a base. That is a round robin duty as I see it. Though there may be people who want to specialize in Base security. I myself do. Along with Assualt teams and Sniper teams. I am currently working on an idea for calling in artilery heheheh.

I am loving this. keep the ideas flowing. I will have to come up with some new games to utilize these ideas.

why not just schedule one of the off-season games to be on the same day, that way more people come - the people who want to meet about the team could meet somewhere beforehand for breakfast or something to organize something a little bit, and then go set some teams up on the same day to see how/if it works

Or we can do another location. I can do rides if someone needs one. I live in Golf Manor (intbetween Section and Montgomery Road next to Reading Road). Give me an exact date and time when it is good for everyone. I am not familiar with Mason so will need directions. If possible a more central location would be great. But Mason is workable.
