Does anyone want another Speedball Field? I saw this on the website, and Todd mentioned this on another post. So who really wants another Speedball Field? If you do, then speak up and give your ideas. Where would you like it? What would be the obstacles?

Yeah I did and we are thinking about putting another one in front of the very far back woods in a field that is filled with overgrown weeds and all of that other junk.

i htink it would be cool if it was bigger then the current one. differnt types of bunkers like those big black pipes. also what would be cool would be two pit areas for the two teams.

we dont need another one, but we should make the current one larger. theres a lot of potential on that piece of land.

Yeah I agree, we dont really need another field unless more people start playing speedball. But right now we should make the existing speedball field official size and also cover up all the holes and stuff in the bunkers right now, and we should add a better snake out of black pipes or something.

I also agree. I think the one we have now is fine. Maybe push it back into the weeds behind it some, there is plenty of room there. But I do like the new woodsball/speedball course idea though that would be pretty cool

What about the way we made a speeball field to poles with fabric streched tight they are easy to move store and we can have even sides...

If I may. If we could clear the brush tickets from the left side of the field that would pose a new interest in the speed ball field. Enlarge the field so when you want to you can run massive games and when you want use dividers ( can can probably have our maint. department make some easy to use 8 -10 ft stanchions to hold divider up. They certainly dont work on our machines LOL). We just need to get the propper netting or fabric to cover them. Use tent stakes to secure them down where there are needed. (we are working on a mortar at work right now the artillery shell is done.). But adding that brush to the left of the field as you enter and clear it away. Provides a cool slope for more games. We could even break it into another small field for people wishing to start team practices.

Well, instead of another speedball field, I would love to see a nice "Fort" style field. Kind of like the Castle or City at the senerio games.

No theres more room for a castle somewhere else this is the only speedball field and it should stay. What we need to do is get the inflatable bunkers from critical mass and then get other new bunkers and put those on the field. Then on the sidelines we should take two poles and stretch netting around them so people out can take there maskes off and not worry bout getting hit. First of all we might expand the field to about a 7 man official size( I tried to find it but i cant, so if someone knows the size post it please)

Here is some field size information I found on another site.
"1.07. Game fields shall be a minimum of 79ft wide by 164 ft long (standard 5 man sup'air dimensions) OR 12,000 sq ft. of in play area.
1.08. All 5 man fields shall consist of a minimum of 19 bunkers per field (standard 5 man sup'air field)
1.09. A BUNKER is defined by the following minimum standards: 3ft X 4ft OR 12 square feet, whichever is applicable. All Bunkers shall be free from holes or voids through which a player can shoot or be shot. All bunkers shall be adequately secured in a stationary position so as to withstand a reasonable amount of force and remain in place. A bunker shall be arranged on the playing field in such a manner to be playable from both the lefthand and righthand sides.
Those are the standards for the CFOA. They are the only series I have seen a standard set or guidelines for a tourny field. PSP ro Super 7 may have set standards. I have never looked into their rules that close."
I'll keep looking to see if I can find any other information.

Thanks for getting those measurements now all we should do is get everyone together and some people can work on what they play on the weekend. We could just all spend a couple hours on building stuff and then maybe play on it.

First off if we expand the field we need more bunkerz. I like the idea of two filds so if people show up from the woods they could go play on the other field if a game is all ready going on

our field is 100ft X 150ft. Believe it or not. I am considering making it longer though by another 30 - 50ft.
