recording the velocity of different paintballs is a waste of time, unless you have a marker that is very consistant, like, within 2 fps. robbies angel can do that. guns like tippmanns, spyders, and other low end guns can have spikes of 50 fps. unless you have nitro, or regulator which makes the marker more consistant. i use a .685 barrel, and i buy .685 paint. evil works good for me. i use evil for my speedball gun and stinger for my woodsball gun. works good for me

The test is more about charting the accuracy of the paintballs rather than the velocity. The velocity just sets an even playing field to judge from. It will be more of a consensus test rather than ballistic facts. Maybe some trends can be discovered and noted.
I don't know, seemed to be a good idea at the time ......

testing some different brands of paintballs would be interesting. i did a school project in 8th grade on which paintball is more accurate, Diablo midnight or Zap. diablo appeared to be better. but the different bore sizes and such are other variables. it wasnt that accurate of an experiment, but i got an A+ on it ;D

I dont realy see the difference in paintballs besides the way they break on people, and if they will break easy in my gun. So i just go for the menace usually but my favorite are probly the all-stars.
Buy em' cheap, stock em' deep

I shoot midnight, I tried evil but I could not see any difference. I have a 330 foot long driveway and I can shoot at a tree 150 feet away and hit it with either one. But my gun seems to like midnight balls better. I tried all stars and I had more problems than ever. I tried the white box paint and I’ll never make that mistake again. I don’t mind paying the price for good paint. I can engage any target that I shoot at as long I don’t get crazy with the FPS. I like the rest of you know that the barrels do have a lot to do with it. I have shot the same paint out of my 98 and had no trouble at all, but my flat line 98c hated it all. By the way I think if you don’t know what kind of paint your gun shoots by now your in trouble

Don't frak on me but I have grown to like Vapor. It is a very inexpensive paint yet seems to run nicely in my Tippman 98. My range is excellent and have had no balls break in barrel. Shoot 30 bucks for 2k. aint to bad. And even though the seam is visible it doesnt bother my targeting.

Well I have shot alot of diffrent paints. Some because "everyone" said it was great. I have the place to shoot paintball or real guns any time I prefer. I usually use my driveway as its 330 feet long. I have used my flatline and my J&J to try everybrand out. So I am not just saying "my flatline" or just my j&j. I have a trailor sitting 150-175 feet away that i use often to test the paintballs out. I shot marbs they resched the trailor just fine. I shot evil they did as well. then I shot midnight and guess what it reached it as well . I shoot draxxus reck and it hits it too. So to be honist I could tell you marbs, evil and midnight all shoot great as well as reck draxxus does - I shoot draxxus reck or midnight its cheeper and hits just as far as the rest - ROb
